Here is my progress over the year in spelling.
At the beginning of the year I scored 42 in the M.Peters spelling test.
This gave me a spelling age of 12.5 years.
In term 4 this year I scored 43 in the M.Peters spelling test.
This gave me a spelling age of 12.6. I think I could have done better, but I still did great!

Lamb Organs
Kia Ora Bloggers!
on the 12-14 we had the Life Ed come to our school and teach us about our body parts. So yesterday we did an experiment using lamb hearts and kidneys that we had to dissect and observe what's inside them.
Here is some writing I did about it.

Skittles
Kia ora
Last week we did experiments with SKITTLES!
We had to write about it with our senses using show not tell.
I was not there that day, but I still did the writing.
I hope you enjoy my writing!

The five senses
The Whispering Woods
By Depla Palmer
The rough black sticky branches looked like big black tentacles on an upside down angry octopus. The pointy stems of grass dug into my sore feet like needles taking out chunks of skin for a DNA test. The whispering wind made my ears ring like a little triangle going DING! DING! I took two steps forward only to get chucked in a boiling hot cauldron by a wicked witch who snuck up behind me.

Cross Country
Kia ora
Yesterday we did a school Cross Country and lots of schools came.
I came 22nd out of the year five girls.
I didn't get in the top twenty which was disappointing but I still had fun.
I got my feet all muddy even though I wore shoes which was real weird.
Here is a picture of the year five girls. You won't find me in the photo because I was not there at the time. Here is a challenge for you, can you name all of the year five girls in the photo? It will be hard.
