The Sleepover

BOOM! SNAP! CRACKLE! We were popping party poppers and what a noise they made! They were as loud as a herd of elephants! Today is gonna be the most epic party ever! Mum had made some extra special food for my sleepover party I was having, and I was allowed to help decorate the house. This is gonna be so awesome.

1 hour later…

Have you ever eaten something so hott8, it comes out of your nose? Man it hurts. It was lunch time, and I was sitting on the deck eating sushi with too much wasabi on it. My step brother and sister were with me. Mum heard a car pull up in my driveway. “Ani I think one of you friends are here” yelled mum from the kitchen. I raced downstairs, and opened the door. “Hey Depla” said Araminta.

“Hi” I said. I let Araminta come inside, then I went back to my sushi. “I think you should play with your friend” said mum. “UGHHH” I shouted “CAN’T I JUST EAT MY SUSHI!”. “No” said mum sternly. “UGHHHH!!” I shrieked again but this time in Mum’s face. “Depla, come outside and play with me” said Araminta.

“Should we go downstairs and wait for everyone else?” I asked. “Ok” said Araminta.

“YIPPEE!”. Shouted Araminta while running down the stairs. You should have seen how fast she was! I trudged down the stairs. “Hurry up you lazy pig!” yelled Araminta.. We went over to the gate then waited, while playing paper scissors rock. Soon lots of friends started to arrive, then we played some games, choked on food, fell asleep and made jokes.

Mmm. melted chocolate. Tasty icing. Soft base. it was time for the cake.

It was absolutely humongous. I got to cut the cake. It was fun.

“When can we do the treasure hunt?” asked Juanita.

“Later” said dad while stuffing chips into his mouth. “UGHHH! you greedy maggot!” I screamed in his face. “Fine” dad said. “Let’s do it now.”

Dad and caleb ran off, and mum came and explained the rules to us. We went out, found clues and code crackers, fought a monster (which was actually dad dressed up) and got all the treasure. YIPPEE! Chocolate! My favourite!

After that we watched a movie and went to then it was all silence. As I fell asleep, there were scary ghosts haunting my dreams, while all the excitement slowly fell into a deep darkness. In the morning, we had rice bubbles for breakfast that sort of looked like slugs. After that, all my friends went home and the house was peaceful at last.

I enjoyed the party but sleeping in the lounge gave me the tingly feeling, like a tarantula was crawling up my spine.

For quite a few weeks now we have been making our own myths and finding a way to present them.

I am presenting mine as an animation.

School triathlon T1 W9

On Friday we had a school triathlon.

At first we had to wait on the field, it was quite boring.

Then when it was time for us to go, we sat in rows.

I borrowed my sisters togs because I didn't take mine.

We had to swim four laps of our pool, it was very tiring.

Then we had to hop on our bikes and ride down the road.

When we hopped off our bikes we started running.

My feet really hurt because I didn't have shoes.

When we were done we had milk and a burger.

After that I went home.

Myth

Long ago, far far away… there was a special planet called Fantasy where all kinds of amazing creatures were roaming the purple land.One of the amazing creatures was a gratten called Isla. Grattens were half cat and half human and very clever. Isla had pink hair and a rainbow tail. Her eyes were sparkling stars, and her furry cat ears were as soft as a sheep.Everything else about Isla was human. The different thing about grattens though was this-they could not exist without being near their companion creature, which was always a sassecal. Whenever a gratten was born, they would be given a sassecal to be their companion for life. They would always be together and if they were separated, each of them would die. Sassecals were soft, cute creatures like cats with blue wings. It was Isla’s job to match each new-born gratten with a new sassecal. Isla would go out every day with her sassecal and go to a secret cave where there was a magical sparkling green gem which could make new sassecals.

One day Isla went to the cave and the gem was not working so Isla tapped it very hard.Suddenly it glowed and a very cute sassecal came out. But then, the gem started sprouting  lots of little weird shaped green things. Isla didn’t know this but they were plants. Isla though the plants were weird and dangerous  so using her time dance powers she created a new  planet which she called Earth and she banished all the plants to that new planet.

Isla put an enormous invisible shield on Fantasy planet so no one  from another planet could see it and therefore her world always be protected.

On the new planet the plants grew and spread and then created oxygen that future creatures could survive in.

And so that is why we have the wonderful plant-covered Earth for our home.

Swimming T1 W7

This week we were being taught how to float for two minutes in clothes and then float while getting our clothes off. I couldn't quite keep my legs up though. It was quite fun although my pants were quite big, and they kept slipping off. After I took my pants off, I took my big uncomfortable jersey off and then I chucked them out of the pool. when we got out I was very cold and started shivering soooo much!
